Practical for any terrace
Compared to many other materials that can be considered as a floor for a patio, WARCO's patio slabs have a decisive advantage: they can often be laid on any permanently load-bearing substrate without any further preparatory work.
In addition, these patio slabs bond directly during installation to form a positionally stable carpet of slabs. This is because a zipper connection system is molded into the edges of the slabs, which functions in the manner of a dovetail joint. WARCO panels are therefore not screwed or glued to the substrate. They simply rest on the substrate and can be removed and reused in the same or another location if required.
Installation is so simple that most customers install the panels themselves. The only tool needed is a circular saw or jigsaw, which is used to cut the edge panels or cut out the culverts.
Easy to process
'I have laid 2 terraces with about 30 m² each. With cutting and adjusting the corners I have needed per terrace about 4 hours, comfortably with a lot of break :-). With a little craftsmanship (you should be able to handle tape measure and jigsaw) it is really very easy to lay. Slight irregularities compensate the plates super, the more even the subsoil, the better. The rainwater runs off under the plates super, no puddles form on the plates. I am totally thrilled, the next terrace is also already planned.'

The microscopic air pockets between the rubber granules, the air cushions in the drainage on the underside of the slabs and the high thermal capacity of rubber ensure that WARCO patio slabs offer significantly better thermal insulation and absorb solar heat much more slowly than, for example, a patio floor made of ceramic, natural stone, WPC or concrete.
The heat capacity, i.e. the amount of energy required to raise the temperature of 1 kg of material by 1 °C, is 1.6 kJ for rubber and 0.8 kJ for marble. Marble therefore heats up twice as fast as rubber. The thermal conductivity is also interesting: polystyrene is an excellent insulating material with a λ value of 0.03, while the λ value for rubber is 0.16 and for marble already 2.8.
Durable - easy to clean and weatherproof
A patio covering from WARCO is durable, although the service life always depends on the individual conditions on site. There are customers who still use their patio slabs purchased in the 2000s today.
By nature, a WARCO floor is weatherproof and frost-resistant. After a rain, the precipitation seeps through the water-permeable slabs over a large area and the patio dries quickly. As the slabs seep through, the water takes fine dirt with it and thus rinses off the terrace floor - a "self-cleaning effect".
Coarse dirt is removed with a broom, water hose, high-pressure cleaner or vacuum cleaner. Furthermore, a WARCO floor is absolutely maintenance-free. It is not impregnated, sanded or painted.

WARCO's decking can be installed both under a roof, i.e. in a conservatory or under a patio cover, and outdoors.
The tiles are weather resistant and easy to maintain. Often they are even laid as a safe and well-drained flooring around a swimming pool.

In most cases, it is sufficient to install a subfloor of plastic honeycomb mesh under the WARCO decking slabs. Thus, there is no need for concreting or deep excavation.
A terrace in the garden is an interesting alternative to the terrace directly at the house. Because here you can freely choose both the location in the garden and the orientation to the sun.
Depending on personal preferences, the terrace can be placed in such a way that it is particularly sunny in summer or particularly shady, for example, under large deciduous trees.
WARCO patio slabs can be laid in the garden on any permanently load-bearing substrate, preferably on plastic honeycomb grid.
The cutting of the patio slabs from WARCO is very simple, so that any patio shape can be produced without any problems. Projections, curves or bulges are no problem. As a rule, edging can also be dispensed with, as the connection system holds the patio slabs securely together.
For this terrace, quarry stone was chosen as a natural boundary between the terrace and the bed.
WARCO patio slabs are pleasantly elastic. This allows them to be used in any installation situation. With the terrace decking, not only the terrace can be designed professionally and beautifully, but also the stairs to the terrace or an access.
Matching the building and the decking, the finish, as seen on this deck, can be designed with commercially available finishing trim and trim, if needed.
So there are almost no limits to the imagination in the design of the terrace.
WARCO patio slabs are available in various shapes and color designs. By using different color designs, the terrace can be structured in a pleasant way. This makes the terrace more interesting than with a single-color decking.
WARCO produces both monochrome (single-color) and natural-looking polychrome color designs. In the latter, the panel surface is made from a mixture of EPDM granules in different colors.
The particularly natural and noble appearance of the panel surface is created by the selection of color shades and their mixing ratio.

Gray designs are particularly popular on the patio floor. They are available from WARCO in various gradations. The advantage of gray color designs is that they can be combined with any other color on the building or patio without much thought.
The disadvantage: gray surfaces always look cold and repellent.
WARCO's expert advice therefore recommends choosing patio slabs with a vibrant color design in most cases.
The Type HZ patio slab with artificial turf surface combines all the installation and usage advantages of a WARCO patio slab with the properties of an artificial turf. This is because a piece of artificial turf is precisely and permanently laminated onto the finished rubber granulate slab.
Artificial grass tiles on patios are always useful when a lawn look is desired and relatively little dirt is expected.
The best technique for joining patio slabs directly at the time of installation to form a stable carpet of slabs is the zipper formed into the edge of the slab - the classic dovetail joint.
Whether the joint is visible in the surface depends primarily on the color design. In the case of single-color slabs or a patio covering consisting of slabs with different color designs, the interlocking is easily visible in the surface. In the case of patio slabs whose surface consists of rubber granules of different colors, the interlocking is hardly visible in the surface.

Of course, the surface does not have to be covered evenly with panels of one color, no, a design in geometric patterns or with contrasting panels as a break-up is also interesting. As with this terrace, the house wall, wall and terrace can be perfectly matched in color.
Terraces of any size and shape can be designed with a terrace decking from WARCO. A terrace decking from WARCO is suitable for privately used terraces as well as for publicly accessible terraces and terraces of commercially used buildings such as office buildings, hotels or canteens.
A typical application is the construction of a roof terrace on a flat roof. Here, WARCO decking slabs can often be laid directly on the existing waterproofing.
WARCO's system, consisting of plastic honeycomb grids as a substructure and water-permeable patio slabs as a wear layer, makes it easy to create a patio at almost any location in the garden.
For this purpose, only a small amount of the existing soil is excavated and smoothed. A thin layer of chippings is spread on top of this, onto which the plastic honeycomb grids are in turn placed. These are filled with chippings so that a homogeneous bedding is created. Finally, the terrace slabs are laid on top of it. As a rule, edging is not necessary.
